About this Edition
Martha Tuttle’s work engages the natural world, pulling inspiration from her childhood in New Mexico and the American West landscape.
Much like her sculptures and paintings, Tuttle’s prints fuse elements of textile design and sculpture to create a sensual and powerful composition. Her second edition, Filaments, explores the relationship between traditional printmaking mediums and textile design.

Filaments is a set of two offset lithographs with relief and hand stitching on natural linen. Two litho plates were printed on natural linen, followed by two printings in verso in white and gold ink printed as a relief. The edition was then hand stitched on the back of each linen sheet.
